What Items You Cannot Ship Internationally
With WeReShip, you can unlock access to millions of US products and get them delivered right at your doorstep, but some items can’t be shipped overseas. For your ease, we have enclosed a list of banned items below. However, please note that each country governs its own import laws and regulations. You might want to check your country’s specific import guidelines to avoid any customs issues.
Please note, that the information outlined on this website is only exemplary and is in no way a substitute for consulting with the export regulations of the US and the import regulatory authorities of the destination country.
Banned Items
- Prescription medications, including dental & veterinary
- Prescription medical devices
- Medical devices not FDA-approved
- Prohormones, Human Growth Hormones, stem cell treatments, steroids or synthetic versions
- The following items that are not labeled in English, or without FDA-approved labeling requirements:
- Non-prescription medications
- Dietary supplements
- Cosmetics
- Food
- Any food, supplement, drug or cosmetic that has been issued a Consumer Safety Advisory Warning
- Perishable products of any kind
- Lab reagents, biologics, cultures, medical specimens
- Poisonous substances
- Toxic substances, including inhalation hazards
- Infectious substances
- Explosives, fireworks, gun powder, flares or matches
- Gasoline, diesel or other fuels
- Lighters containing fuel
- Meals Ready to Eat (MRE)
- Pesticides, herbicides, fungicides
- Radioactive elements or products
- Self-balancing boards (hoverboards)
- Oxidizing agents
- Fire extinguishers
- Firearms, guns & accessories, including replicas
- BB/pellet/airsoft/paintball guns, parts and projectiles
- Ammunition, magazines & bayonets
- Stun guns & tasers
- Tear gas, mace & pepper spray
- Gas masks & gas mask filters
- Law enforcement striking weapons, including saps, batons & billy clubs
- Handcuffs of any material, including plastic zip tie restraints & straitjackets
- Body armor, helmets or personal protection articles with kevlar or ballistic ratings
- Military/tactical/police shields
- Government, police or military uniforms, IDs and Badges (real or replica)
- Military training equipment
- Military and/or dual-use flight helmets and flight jumpsuits
- Military and law enforcement equipment
- Thermal imaging, InfraRed or other night vision devices
- Rifle scopes, laser pointing & aiming devices for firearms
- Defense articles controlled under the US Munitions List as defined under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations
- Self-propelled vehicles
- Damaged batteries
- Any dual-use or commercial article controlled under the Commerce Control List (CCL) as defined under the Export Administration Regulations, where the control status requires a Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) approved export license
- Counterfeit products
- Contraband or illegal substances
- Lottery tickets
- Gambling devices & accessories
- Lock picking devices
- Rough diamonds
- Live or dead animals or insects
- Human remains
- Coral
- Brazilian rosewood
- Skin or leather of snakes, alligators, crocodiles, stingrays, and other reptiles or amphibians
- Skin, fur or leather of nearly all animals, but especially wolves, bears, elephants, rhinos and certain deer and foxes
- Sturgeon or Beluga caviar
- Agricultural products, including certain seeds, live or dead plants, unfinished or untreated wood & soil
- Items containing animal products controlled under the Endangered Species Act, Marine Mammal Protection Act, or requiring a permit under CITES
- Any unidentifiable material, substance or chemical
Restricted Items (We Can Sometimes Ship)
At WeReship, we restrict the export of certain products from the US based on Federal Government rules and regulations and/or WeReship’s Business Policies. Enclosed below is the list of items you can purchase online from the US, but these may be subject to certain restrictions.
As outlined in the WeReship Terms and Conditions, as an importer of items into your country (Destination country), you are solely responsible for ensuring that any and all items that you purchase from the US (Export from the US) fully comply with the laws and regulations of the US and that of the destination country. Dangerous Goods
Several items are restricted as Hazardous Materials for Transportation (Dangerous Goods). If you choose a product categorized as restricted, we may be able to export it for you depending on the classification, destination country, and quantity. Please reach out to our team before placing any order for the following items:
- Airbags, Airbag Inflators
- Fertilizers
- Paint, Varnish, Stains, Paint Thinners
- Acetone, Nail Polish, Nail Polish Remover
- Cologne, Perfume
- Large or Strong Magnets
- Lead Acid Batteries
- Lithium Ion or Metal Batteries
- Aerosols, including hair spray, bug spray, shaving creams
- Compressed gases, including CO2 cartridges
- Glues and adhesives
- Dyes
- Household Chemicals, including:
- Window/Counter Cleaners
- Drain/Oven Cleaners
- Antifreeze
- Alcohol-based Hand Sanitizers
- Water/Aquarium test kits
Miscellaneous Materials & Items
Several ‘specially designed’ parts, items, and accessories are often restricted for export. Enclosed below are categories that contain restricted products. Please contact our team before purchasing any items from the following list:
- Airplane parts and Aviation Equipment (Example: Gyroscopes, Accelerometers)
- Aerospace and Propulsion Items
- Telecommunications & Information Security Equipment (Containing High-End Encryption and Decryption)
- High Powered Lasers and Sensors
- Materials Processing Items (Example: Sophisticated Pressure Valves and Metal Piping)
Animal, Reptile, Horticultural & Agricultural Items
The items and other parts of these reptiles and animals listed below are often subject to certain restrictions that may require the submission of an export declaration to the US Fish and Wildlife Service. You may also be required to provide Species, Genus, and Country of Origin for export classification purposes. Please do reach out to us before purchasing any items that contain:
- Animal antlers, bones, claws, hair, fur, skin, and teeth
- Snake, alligator, crocodile, lizard, and other reptile skins
- Fish skin, shark teeth, shark cartilage supplements, and caviar (fish eggs/roe)
- Bird feathers and insects
- Coral, shells, starfish, sand dollars and other marine life
- Mother of Pearl items commonly found on watches, guitars, and jewelry items
- Seeds, plants, soil, and other agricultural products
